Celebrating Shakespeare's 46Oth year
If music be the food of love, play on
Music and musicians played a leading role in Shakespeare’s theatre and in the royal court. Courtlye Musick provide a magical musical atmosphere playing exquisite renaissance music on their period instruments. Singer and actor Scott Free joins Courtlye Musick to perform ‘Sounds and sweet airs that give delight and hurt not’, as well as delighting the listener with sonnets from the time of Shakespeare and readings from the plays of the bard himself.
Together, they'll bring the ambience of The Globe Theatre to the audience at Athelhampton House
